Military Vehicle Trainers — APC / Armored Personnel Carrier

System Purpose
The SKIFTECH APC system is designed for realistic training of armored personnel carrier crews across various vehicle modifications. The equipment simulates firing, hits, vehicle damage, and battlefield interaction in conditions that closely replicate real combat.
Training enables the development of tactical thinking, unit coordination, and improved crew effectiveness in real time, without the use of live ammunition.

SKIFTECH APC Kit Composition
The kit is installed on BTR-70/80 and other APC models and includes everything required for full fire simulation and hit registration, without any modification to the vehicle. The kit includes:

01
External emitter unit
02
Main control unit (Master)
03
Fire control module
04
Hit detection sensor set
05
Speaker
06
Power and mounting cables
07
Software

External emitter unit
simulates machine gun fire using an infrared beam at a distance of up to 1,200 m for KPVT and up to 1,000 m for PKT.
Core System Functions
All telemetry and events are displayed in real time on the instructor’s control interface. The system provides a complete combat simulation cycle:
Simulation of firing from different types of APC armament.
Hit registration and modeling of vehicle damage.
Wireless interaction between all system components (868 MHz radio channel).
Real-time GPS position transmission to the instructor.
Automatic generation of detailed post-training statistics.

Technical Module — External Emitter Unit
The external unit simulates firing from the KPVT and PKT using infrared radiation and is installed without interfering with the weapon’s design.
Key characteristics:
engagement range: up to 1,200 m (KPVT) and up to 1,000 m (PKT);
autonomous operation: up to 23 hours;
completely safe for personnel;
fast barrel mounting with alignment via a built-in bubble level;
visual shot indication and realistic sound effects.
Equipment Operating Principle
After installation on the vehicle:
hit sensors and the external emitter unit are connected to the main control unit via radio link;
when a shot is fired, the IR signal is transmitted to the target’s sensors, which register a “hit”;
the system provides visual and audio hit indication on the APC and on the instructor’s device;
all events and GPS coordinates are transmitted in real time to the training server via Wi-Fi.
The instructor receives a complete, real-time picture of the engagement without delay.

Training Management (Instructor Application)
The instructor application provides full control of all vehicles on the digital map, including GPS positions, vehicle states, and events.
The application allows the instructor to:
display vehicle positions on the map using GPS;
monitor the status of each APC (active, damaged, destroyed);
launch missions and end scenarios;
set ammunition limits and damage logic;
remotely “restore” vehicles during training;
review statistics and analyze results after the exercise.

Practical Value of the System:
The SKIFTECH APC trainer enables comprehensive field exercises without live ammunition, preserving vehicle and weapon resources while improving training quality. The system:
01
Preserves weapon and vehicle service life during regular training.
02
Generates complete datasets for post-training analysis.
03
Allows instructors to assess crew tactical decisions in real time.
04
Helps crews develop coordination, interaction, and behavior under stress conditions closely resembling combat.
