Military Vehicle Trainers — Tank

Purpose of the SKIFTECH Tank System
SKIFTECH Tank is a laser-based two-sided fire-engagement trainer designed for realistic training of armored vehicle crews. The system accurately simulates the operation of a tank gun and machine gun, registers hits, reproduces explosions and sound effects, and creates conditions that are as close as possible to real combat.
It allows crews to train without risk and without the cost of live ammunition, while maintaining full tactical interaction between vehicles on the training range.

Kit Composition
The basic SKIFTECH Tank kit is adaptable to any tank model (T-64, T-72, T-80, etc.). All modules are connected via a wireless 868 MHz radio channel, and data exchange with the server is performed via Wi-Fi. The kit includes:

01
External shot simulation unit
02
Main control unit (Master)
03
Fire control module
04
Hit sensors
05
Pyrotechnic simulation units (optional)

External shot simulation unit
mounted on the gun barrel; simulates firing using IR beams (up to 2,000 m for the main gun, up to 1,000 m for the machine gun).
Technical Specifications of Key Modules
These parameters form the foundation of the system’s realistic operation:
External Shot Simulation Unit
IR signal range (main gun): up to 2,000 m
IR signal range (machine gun): up to 1,000 m
Mounted on the gun barrel
Supports coded IR signals
Acoustic System
Output power: up to 90 dB
Power Supply
Autonomous operation of all modules: up to 23 hours
Main Control Unit
Data transmission to the server via Wi-Fi
Radio channel operating frequency: 868 MHz
Built-in GPS module
Audio event indication
System Operating Principle
During training, the gunner fires the main gun or machine gun. The external unit emits a coded IR signal that is received by hit sensors on other tanks. When a hit is registered, the system sends a command to the main control unit, activating explosion sounds, pyrotechnic effects, and changing the vehicle’s status to “hit.”
All events are displayed on the instructor’s tablet in real time.
Functional Capabilities
The SKIFTECH Tank system provides:
Realistic simulation of gun and machine-gun firing: light, sound, and pyrotechnics
Automatic hit detection and vehicle status changes (“damaged,” “destroyed”)
Wireless synchronization between tanks, infantry units, and the command post
GPS-based display of all vehicles on the training range map
Remote vehicle recovery by the instructor
Collection and storage of complete battle and event statistics

Military Statistics — Training Management Module
The Military Statistics application gives the instructor full control over training:
starting, stopping, or restarting scenarios;
managing the training process;
tracking the GPS coordinates of each tank;
viewing the event log and summary statistics;
rapid recovery of hit vehicles.
Advantages of Use
SKIFTECH Tank offers key advantages for training centers and military units:
Realistic combat simulation without ammunition costs.
Fast and reliable installation thanks to magnetic mounts.
Full autonomy for up to 23 hours without connection to onboard power.
Modular architecture adaptable to any platform.
Remote control and full data collection via Military Statistics.
Maximum realism through the combination of IR technology, GPS, and pyrotechnics.

Practical Value
The system provides realistic crew training without risk or financial losses, significantly enhances the quality of tactical preparation, and improves unit interaction.
Detailed statistics allow instructors to analyze decision effectiveness and adjust training at all stages.
Training Scenario Examples
SKIFTECH Tank is used for:
- 01
training duels “tank versus tank”;
- 02
armored vehicle and infantry interaction;
- 03
practicing defensive and offensive maneuvers;
- 04
simulation of hits from ATGMs or mines;
- 05
training cadets and officers on live training ranges.
